Games that we all wish could be/would be, on the vega plus
« on: November 11, 2016, 08:15:58 pm »
Since back in the heyday of the Zx Spectrum, we've all had a specific favourite game, or number of games that personify the Speccy. This is the opportunity for us ALL to mention their own favourite game(s). Whoi knows, we might all find some new Gems in this. I would ask that when submitting a game for the wishlist, make the subject field the name of the game.

Other than the Ultimate Play The Game collection of games, would be good to play some of the Imagine games again. Remember spending ages playing Jumping Jack.
Manic Miner and Jetpac are still the ones I remember most fondly though.

Favourite game of all time (and one of the few I actually completed) was Starquake - absolutely loved it!  Also loved Dynamite dan, but never got close to completing it - too damn hard!!

I also have fond memories of Rasputin, but suspect I may be alone in this as I have never heard anyone else speak of it.

Oh and Highway Encounter was also brilliant, and gyroscope, and chuckie egg.

I've just realised I could just keep going on and on and on and on and on................

well, I have zero wishes for games to be putten on Vega+. For me, this was waste of time to gather all the licences. There is SD card, so anybody can load there +20000 games of their own.  But I understand as a retail product for masses, pointing 1000 games on it is a good one.

I never played bubble bobble on the speccie but it was one of one of my favourites in the arcade and have played it on emulators.  Can't wait to try it on the Vega+ !

tm - good news is, some of games you mentioned I see on my 1st Vega directly there. For example, as a child I played a lot game which was like bomberman for zx spectrum. I lost the name and I was not able to find it these days. What a nice surprise it was, when I load ERIC in Vega and yes, it was the game I liked so much as a child. ;-)
Also Sabre Wulf, Jet-pac and Knight-Lore is included. But I am not sure, if the same list will be on Vega+ ...but it is quite expected that more or less - yes.

Peeto that sounds great, I havent been looking at the gamelist for Vega, so I dont know what games will "be" included on vega+, I will wait to see the list until i get my hands on the console and hopefully be suprised.

Oh yes of course these games is a must to have on the vega+.

I've spend sooo many hours on playing Bomb jack. Great game. :D

The Zx Spectrum games advanced so much in the years it of its heyday, but I always came back to Manic Miner and JetSet Willy. They were both absolute classics, and gave the idea of how platform games could be. To think of the small size of the Speccy's memory, it reaslly was amazing what the programmers were able to fit in!
