Looks like the Vega+ will be with us soon
« on: February 24, 2017, 10:39:23 pm »
It's been a very rocky road for RCL's Vega+ campaign so far. A change in company directors was soon followed by a few folks in the community spreading rumors, in an attempt to worry backers. Mixed in with legal issues with new and old directors, and quality control troubles with the buttons causing production delays. It can't have been easy for folks at RCL.

More recently the Idiegogo comments section has been full of worried and irate backers, many requesting refunds, asking for updates, or seeking to take further avenues of action. RCL seem to stop responding to these concerns of the backers then, which only fueled backers concerns and worries even more, and when the Indiegogo campaign was closed unexpectedly without any updates, it was thought the campaign was over leaving many backers fearing the worst. I was certainly feeling quite sad with the way things were looking at this point.

However today RCL have started posting updates again, explaining the reason for closing the campaign, which was to stop any further pledges for the Roll of Honor perk. They also have a new website:-

I think with these updates it's really looking promising for the RCL team to have the Vega+ in production now, if not soon. I'm certainly feeling better about it all. Yes I'm sure theres still some mystery around this project, such as photo's or a video of the final product in action, and packaging etc. And yes theres been the setbacks and lack of commucation in the past, but overall with the rough ride it's been, it has really shown how such a passionate community we are even in troubled times, and really just want to get our hands on the new Vega+. Hang in there, I think we're on the final straight. ;D
